Launching a FieldScope Project - What to expect from the onboarding process
Onboarding is the process the FieldScope team uses to help new project organizers get their projects launched in FieldScope! We have designed the process to be as simple and streamlined as possible to make setting up your project easy and efficient. Keep reading to learn more about the process below. And if you're interested in getting started, please Contact Us using this form and let us know about your project!
Below, we have provided some information to help you understand this process.

Reach out to the FieldScope team! We will set up an initial meeting and demonstration to answer any questions you have and help you assess if FieldScope is the right platform for your project. If it’s a fit, we will provide you with the templates you need to complete the steps below.

When you have your project templates, you can work with your own team to create the content for your project’s new FieldScope homepage and design the data entry form that your project participants will fill out. To learn more about customizing the project data form for this process, please see the article here.

Once the templates are returned to the FieldScope team, we will check out what you have sent us and set up your project on the FieldScope platform in about 2 weeks. We will let you know if we have any questions, and give you a more precise launch date for your project. Optional: If you have past data from an existing data collection effort, it can be uploaded to FieldScope at this time using our bulk upload tool.

Your project goes live (for your eyes only)! We will create a test version of your project for you to check out. Some projects like to do some of their own internal testing of the test version before release, and that is great! In fact, we recommend it. You can choose to go public with your project any time after this.

After you approve your new FieldScope project page, our team will send you a licensing agreement for the use of the FieldScope platform. Depending on the anticipated volume of contributions to the project in the first year, there may be a license fee. A license fee waiver program is also available for those who qualify. If you would like to learn more about FieldScope licenses and the project licensing process, please see the article here.

If additional edits to the project are requested, the team can typically make these changes within 1-2 weeks after the request is submitted. Smaller, text-only changes may have a faster turnaround time. |
