The FieldScope team is dedicated to allowing project managers to have as much flexibility to align their projects with their project goals, content, and audiences as possible. Because of this, the platform incorporates many tools managers can use to customize projects according to their needs.
There are, however, certain aspects of the platform that are essential or part of the basic platform design. These aspects are not customizable. A good way of looking at it is to remember two things:
- Anything that is built into the platform itself - things that are in common across all FieldScope project pages - is generally not customizable.
- Anything that would change the basic functionality of the platform is generally not customizable.
**The table below explores what can and cannot be customized in more detail.
|
Please note: In certain cases, features that are not customizable can be updated with more in-depth coding from the development team that works with FieldScope. These types of customizations require (1) contracts outlining funding beyond the basic license agreement - the amount variable according to the customizations requested and (2) additional time from our developers to institute a change, beyond our general 2-week turnaround - this timeframe will also be variable according to the request. In some cases, the developers may conclude that a change is not feasible regardless of time or funding.
